Rail Engines
Being the primary supplier of Diesel Engines to the Sri Lankan Railway (SLR) and maintaining a long-standing partnership, UTE has undertaken numerous significant projects in Sri Lanka. UTE has consistently provided warranty coverage and after-sales service support for all these projects. Notably, UTE stands out as the sole organization in Sri Lanka to successfully execute Locomotive rehabilitation and re-powering for the SLR. Additionally, UTE holds the distinction of being the only private sector entity in Sri Lanka to conduct major maintenance, heavy repairs, and ongoing maintenance of locomotives outside the Sri Lanka Government Railway workshops.
PASSENGER LOCOMOTIVES
Our F125 high speed passenger locomotive is the first new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 4 passenger locomotive to be sold in the world. The F125 is powered by a 4,700 hp Cat C175 series engine and operates at speeds up to 125 miles per hour.
